Uncontrolled and inconsiderate rubbish disposal is unsightly
and also, often, a health & environmental hazard
The type of rubbish dumped is primarily:
- Black Bags placed on the streets on the wrong day
- Refrigerators, Cookers and other Electrical Equipment
- Beds, Mattresses and Furniture
Builder’s Rubbish
The prime causes are:
Landlords failing to clear properties of the previous tenants bedding, etc. Uninformed/Anti-social Residents (See: Rubbish Watch Programme) Call 01702 215396 to report rubbish.
The National Fly-tipping No. is : 0845 3000 630
Residents who have no rubbish space inside their properties due to no provision by landlords/poor application of planning permissions

There are also people from outside of the area, dumping bulky and hazardous waste
The fines for illegal rubbish dumping are up to £1,000
For fly-tipping the fines are up to £20,000
