Abandoned Cars

Parking space in ‘Westcliff Seaboard’ is ‘under pressure’, due to a number of elements:

-High, dense population
-Hotels/Banqueting Centres
-Seafront Tourists
-Commuters
-Office/Business Operations
-The Cliff’s Pavilion
- The Station Road Car Lot

Abandoned cars either take-up valuable road space, or are dumped on private land causing obstructions and eyesores. Untaxed cars also take-up road space, which the owners are not paying for.
Due to the new Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN)
system, a vehicle must either have an up-to-date tax disc, or must have been registered via SORN. Any vehicle, whether on public, or private land, can be removed & destroyed under the new law.
To report an abandoned, or untaxed car, please call: 01702 298053, and get an incident number.
Let us have this number and details on info@SWCG.org.uk
